Volunteers Are Needed

A committee chair is needed in order to offer Science Fair this year.  Please contact Dina Arnott at dearnott@yahoo.com if you are interested in heading this up.

WHAT IS THE SCIENCE FAIR?

The goal of science fair is to learn about science and the scientific method through a “hands-on” experiential process.
  • Science Fair is an at-home independent study project.
  • Parent participation is allowed and encouraged.
  • Support is available through your classroom teacher, the internet, the school library and this year we will have help sessions where you can come get some help from parents.
  • All students in any grade may enter. Projects are grouped in categories by grade.
  • All projects will be displayed at Parmalee. Category winners from Grades 2 through 5 are invited to go to the Mountain Area Science Fair.
  • The projects require planning and time. Now is the time to begin!
